Failed to Upgrade?

I had version 5.9.1 installed on my system, went to upgrade to version 5.10.2 it failed and now I can not even use the older version, and can not install had error message:

"The older version of dupeGuru Music Edition cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."

I am not sure how to resolve this problem without doing restore, any help would be great.

I've never encountered this kind of problem before. If you uninstall dupeGuru from the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, can you install the newer version of dupeGuru afterwards?

I ran a system restore will see if that fixes the problem, I am at work so will not know until this evening.
