Ooh, root causes are always very obvious in retrospective. This has nothing to do with Qt or platform. It's because Document.accounts.default_currency isn't set...

Things are getting a little weirder: The bug seems not to be related to Qt, but rather to Windows. I can't reproduce the bug under Ubuntu or OS X/Qt.
