Show negative values for budget
Reported by Virgil Dupras | September 10th, 2009 @ 09:32 AM
I'd also like to see a way to know when a budget is "busted". As it is now the budget amount goes to "0" why not show it as -##.## (in red?)?

After thinking about it a little bit, I'm going to postpone and rethink this ticket.
First, there's the fact that the "Budgeted" column has a meaning that is not compatible with negative value. It means "moneyGuru is counting X $ in its budget forecasting for the current period (as shown in the transaction table and graphs)". A negative value in this column wouldn't make sense.
Second, implementing this ticket is technically a little more difficult than I thought.
I think the best way to let the user know about his current "budget busting" is to have this information in the Budget view (maybe with a nice little progress bar and all).
