More useful pie charts

From email:

A question about pie charts. At present only the larger amounts rate a slice of pie. One third of my chart is made up of a slice called Others 44%. I realize I can create larger slices by grouping expenses, but I am wondering how granular can to be come with defining groups? What is the cut off when something gets thrown into the Others pile? I want something which will give me a more intelligent view of my expenses.

And then:

More thoughts on pie charts. The charts would become more functional if you bumped the number of segments to 8 or ten. At present half the pie is taken up with one segment, Other, which means visually it is not telling me much even though I have grouped the expenses which makes it easier for pie sections to reflect what is being spent.

Another pie chart suggestion. Right now in the Profit and Loss and Net Worth view, if you click on a group it is removed from displaying in the pie, and I assume the totals. I am not sure how this is helpful. What would be more helpful would be, if you clicked on the group, the charts would convert to displaying the expense categories in the clicked group. This would enable one to drill down into the account groups.

So, in many cases, 6 slices is just not enough. However, there's not enough screen estate to properly display more than that.

But! there's light at the end of the tunnel. If full screen graphs (from #105) were to be a reality, then there would be plenty of screen estate for the chart. So what would be nice would be if the number of slices was dynamic and depend upon the available estate for the chart. So, if it's in "small mode", it gets 6 slices, but if the user puts the chart in full screen, more slices will be visible.
