Relative custom ranges

Speaking of more work...it would be nice if a custom range could be a running value such as FROM Today-21 days TO Today+8 weeks, with all the possible combinations.

It would be very helpful if dates could SOMEHOW be defined relative to the current date. For instance, I'd find it useful to have "previous year" or "previous month" or "last 3 months" as ranges. (In fact, I'd probably use "last three months" (ie previous two and current) as my default range.)
Maybe start x months ago and end y months ago, with 0 being used for current month.
