Account numbering
Reported by Virgil Dupras | September 29th, 2009 @ 10:45 AM | in v1.7.0 (closed)
Accountants usually use numbers to classify their accounts ( http://www.netmba.com/accounting/fin/accounts/chart/ ). To support this with minimal fuss, moneyGuru could have an optional "Number" field which would optionally be visible in the sheets.
When an account has a number, it would be displayed as "$number - $name" everywhere, and it would be possible to type it to refer to an account (if an account "foobar" has a number "4242", typing "4242" when editing a transaction would refer to that account).
