Export to QIF results in an empty file

every time I try to export to qif, I get an
empty (zero kb) file.

did any error pop up? If you open the Console (in /Applications/Utilities), does it show any moneyguru related error message?

No i did not get any error from the application (or any other window for that matter) neither there's any sign of moneyguru related messages in console.
I just export the file, name it and, if I look at it in the finder it has zero byte size

- State changed from “new” to “invalid”
It turns out that the user had no asset/liability account in his document.
