What happened to search?
Reported by Frederick Yocum | February 10th, 2012 @ 04:40 AM
Search appears to have disappeared as a function. It is no longer in the toolbar and the Find in the menu system does not appear to do anything.

The search field is still there. Maybe if you had customized your toolbar in earlier versions, there was a mixup of toolbar item save/restore, but you can bring it back by right clicking on the toolbar and doing "Customize Toolbar". "Search" in the menu focuses on the search field, but if it's invisible, it does nothing.

I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled Moneyguru, deleted all preference file and it's still not there. Turned on icon & text view and it just said filter on the far right without a search bar. How to fix this?

I could reproduce the issue on 10.6 (this doesn't happen on 10.7). Darnit, I think we can qualify this v2.5 release as sloppy :(
